The Official “first entry” in the “haystack’s needles” category…and a great example of the words of every day folks with every day opinions that you’ll NEVER hear about in the dinosaur media. Today’s insight takes us to Mobile Alabama, and a letter to the editor at Al.com, courtesy Drake Tanner of Mobile:
How do you like Obama’s ‘change’?
Unbelievable.
This is the best word I can come up when I think of the political events of 2008 and 2009. Candidate Barack Obama told you for two full years that, if elected, he would “fundamentally†change you. Then, in November 2008, you stood in line to vote for your fundamental change. In 2009, you got to reap the rewards of your newly found fundamental change.
How do you like it?
Let’s examine: You’re subservient to the Chinese, you’re in debt for the rest of your life (along with your children and grandchildren), you’re about to pay for Nebraskans’ health care, and you are the primary cause of the death of polar bears in the Arctic.
Is it everything you imagined it would be?
As this year comes to an end, most Americans are not happy with their “fundamental†change. They think they were tricked by Obama into believing they would be better off with this change.
My question is simple: What part of “fundamental†change didn’t you understand? Obama didn’t lie to you. You voted for Obama without looking up the definition of fundamental. When Obama said he would fundamentally change you, he meant he would change your very-basic way of life. The pursuit of life, liberty and happiness? Gone. Hard work leading to high rewards? Not now. The exceptional feeling of being an American? Over.
Voters, please, next time stay home if you don’t know what or who to vote for.
Amen, Drake…AMEN.
