Pelosi: Not The Sharpest Tool In The Shed

There’s so much silliness that finds its way out of Nancy Pelosi’s mouth, that it has become an unfair fight to hold her in check for everything she says and does…almost. This little beauty about her suggesting that Unemployment Insurance actually creates jobs just can not go by without a remark or two. Listen for yourself first…it’s a worthwhile investment of a minute and 10 seconds of your time:

It’s breathtaking to think that this person is 2 heartbeats away from the Presidency and actually believes what comes out of her mouth…that receiving unemployment benefits is “one of the biggest stimuluses[sic] TO our economy” and that “economists will tell you this money is spent quickly, it injects demand into the economy, and it’s job creating…it creates jobs faster than almost any other initiative.”

So…people without jobs will spend money given to them by people WITH jobs so they can spend it quickly and buy so much stuff that other people will get jobs to meet the demands of their purchases. Have we got that right Madam Speaker? So we’re being told unemployed people will spend their money in ways that will get other unemployed people new jobs. What about the ones spending their unemployment insurance to create all those new jobs? When do THEY get new jobs Madam Speaker? Does this mean we need everyone to be on unemployment so we can use their spending habits to create jobs? Oh, wait…that won’t work…

I’d normally be reminded of Forrest Gump here, but I’d be doing the wisdom of his mother a great disservice to repeat what she told him as he was growing up. All I know is that this is about the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard come out of a politicians two-sided mouth…and I’ve heard a LOT over the years.
