Poor, poor, pitiful Harry Reid… a 70 year old man looking in his rear view mirror at a political career that spans well over 40 years with nothing to look forward to now but losing his Senate Majority Leader position in Washington and being sent home by that pesky upstart that came out of NOWHERE to send him packing; Sharron Angle.

At his age, and with such an outstanding record of history-making legislative accomplishments (allegedly), you’d think Harry Reid would be spending every dime he has (and every dime his stick buddy Barack Obama collects on his behalf) to brag on himself and remind his constituents of all that he has done for them over the years.

Well, he isn’t (full news story here). Instead, he’s playing high school pranks with his opponent, and making himself look like a fool:

“Out of an abundance of caution, the Reid campaign decided to temporarily remove the website in question while we investigated their allegations,” the Reid campaign said in a press release this afternoon. “Well, the phony legal threats and the feigned indignation are over — and we’re not going to let Sharron Angle retroactively censor Sharron Angle.”

The Reid campaign claims Angle “scrubbed” her primary campaign website of incendiary views, replacing her issue positions with brief statements.

Her original website advocated for the elimination of federal departments such as the education department and phasing out Social Security.

Politicians revamp their websites often enough that this should be no surprise; Angle won the primary and had money and staff and fresh eyes and new suggestions on shifting gears for the general election campaign. It’s not out of the question that the strategy and the message might change between a primary-styled campaign and a general election-styled one. Is it really a stretch that Angle would change the look and feel…and even the content…of her website? I change the look and feel of my personal website every year or so just because I get bored with looking at the same old same old day after day after day. Sheesh…Reid makes it out to seem as though Angle had stuff to HIDE from her first website…you know, the one that helped her win the primary?

Harry Reid is scared. He wants people to focus on how he (and Obama) can mock Angle’s positions on the issues…

…rather than selling voters on what they’ve already done and promise to do more of should Reid be re-elected.

That, alone, is indication enough to suggest that Reid knows Nevada has had their fill of Harry Reid, whether he approves of Sharron Angle’s new website of not.
