O’Donnell has been bloodied and cleaved in this campaign over everything BUT what she stands for and what she means to do when she gets to Washington. This foolishness tonight only solidifies what some of us already knew; she’s a threat to them, and now that they realize they’re about to lose to her all the same, they’re getting desperate like the Frat freshmen a lot of us have always known them to be. Trouble is, they’ve pee-ohed the wrong demographic.
It sure would be nice if Politicians could agree that we, the People were the most important special interest group out here…but I think it’s too much to ask for.
I love me some Lefty navel-gazing with a little dose of hand-wringing thrown in for flavor.
How can Pelosi, with a straight face, suggest that extending existing cuts is the same as giving new ones?
The Tea Party was born specifically because of the collective malfeasance on the part of the very people who are singularly to blame for having conceived it. The irony is rich with this one folks.
Now, in a hail Mary pass from President Obama, we’re being asked for even more money to do that which has already been tried and shown to fail; 50 billion MORE stimulus-that-is-not-stimulus dollars to create jobs most of us do not do, or are not qualified to be hired for.
Government has grown too large, and its tentacles reach too deep into our personal lives and our livelihoods. It spends American treasure on wasteful initiatives at a TRILLIONS of dollars rate faster than its revenues can keep pace with. These, just like Paine’s, truly are the times that try men’s souls.
Not only do the left and right hands have no idea what the other is doing, it would appear they are not even part of the same body.
I would like to remind folks, however, that we live in truly wonderful and delicious times when the party that runs our country is made up of such outstanding members of society, with all the care and empathy and worry for their fellow man of a serial killer, that it would even occur to them to wish for someone else’s death (or revel in the notion of it).
