Today’s episode of Obama’s Unintended Consequences™ begins with news that there is a foreclosure crisis, and that he wants a freeze on them…presumably so his economic plan can have more time to settle in (and save everyone’s lives and children and jobs and mortgages and businesses and so on ad nauseum).
This approach to a promised method of governance is not a good long-term strategy. Trying to convince us that they have heard our anger, feel our pain, understand our frustration, and share our goals is an embarrassment among reasoned and reasonable men.
The Government IS the problem, not the solver of them, and no matter how much is spent or how expansive the deficit becomes or how intrusive the system is in our daily lives, Americans will reject attacks against their freedoms and their liberties at every opportunity.
Now, in a hail Mary pass from President Obama, we’re being asked for even more money to do that which has already been tried and shown to fail; 50 billion MORE stimulus-that-is-not-stimulus dollars to create jobs most of us do not do, or are not qualified to be hired for.
…and what does the leader of both the free world AND the not-going-to-be-in-charge-much-longer party do? He steps in it with both feet…
