I have a love – hate relationship with Peggy Noonan…there-it’s out now.
During the early to middle Bush years we were like peas and carrots, Peggy and I. Mid to late years, and her anti-Iraq equivocation and left-lurches to the dark side? Not so much. Early Obama? Nope…not at all; she was chillin’ in Berkely, and I was driving around in circles on my red Snapper.
Today’s episode of Obama’s Unintended Consequences™ begins with news that there is a foreclosure crisis, and that he wants a freeze on them…presumably so his economic plan can have more time to settle in (and save everyone’s lives and children and jobs and mortgages and businesses and so on ad nauseum).
Don’t let the door hit you on the way out Mr. Emanuel…you’re just one less mess we busy ourselves now with cleaning up after.
We’ve seen plenty of stories regarding innocent people being put on terror watch lists…I dare say it wouldn’t take much to get the loudest among us that speak out strongly against this Administration to find ourselves on these sorts of “lists.”
This is the fundamental problem for Obama and the Democrats.
I love me some Lefty navel-gazing with a little dose of hand-wringing thrown in for flavor.

The Government IS the problem, not the solver of them, and no matter how much is spent or how expansive the deficit becomes or how intrusive the system is in our daily lives, Americans will reject attacks against their freedoms and their liberties at every opportunity.
Of one thing there can be no doubt; our Political Heroes in Washington need to spend LESS until we can effectively increase revenue (the pros and cons of easing our tax burdens notwithstanding)…not the other way around… the system has broken the American back and must be fixed.
